Yoan Makoundou will try to regain stability in Spain. The French international (13 caps) has signed with Barça for two years, the club announced this Saturday. The 26-year-old interior player experienced a challenging last season during which he mutually terminated his contract with the Rocher club, before moving to China and then being called back in May as a medical replacement by a Roca Team decimated and weakened by financial difficulties.
Yoan Makoundou joins a Barcelona club undergoing a full rebuild and officially announces the arrival of its tenth signing of the summer. The Catalan team, defeated in the ACB final by Valencia and eliminated in the EuroLeague play-in by Monaco, did not win any titles last season and is relying on a complete recruitment to turn things around. A great opportunity for the Frenchman who will try to prove himself and perhaps secure a selection for the French team in the 2027 World Cup.
